Could we be anymore heartbroken?

Friends was a sitcom that defined a generation, and with Chandler Bing… the sarcastic but endearing character played by Matthew Perry now gone, social media users are grieving his sudden loss together online.

Friends fan and social media expert, Nicole Jameson, says this is when social media helps us feel connected. “Chandler was one of my all-time favourite TV characters, he was sassy, funny, quick-witted, and never missed an opportunity to make fun of one of the other Friends,” Nicole said.

“When a celebrity dies suddenly, people often take to social media with outpourings of grief and that grief wave online makes them all feel connected. I reckon Chandler would be chuffed with how much love he’s received since he’s been gone.”
