Blake Proud joined Kirste and Dan to share his recipe for Tonkatsu. A Japanese dish that consists of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet and sauce.
panko bread crumbs
1. Score the pork cutlet on both sides and season it with salt and pepper.
2. Use a mallet to smash it flat.
3. Toss the pork in the flour, then the eggs and lastly the panko bread crumbs.
4. Fry it in oil until it’s nice and crispy
5. Serve it with a cabbage salad and sauce
